LOVE

In honor of the love holiday, I thought I would post about a few things I love at this time in my life...
1) I love my sweet hubby. I know you are all probably thinking "well, of course she would list him, it would be rude if not"; as I agree it would be rude not to mention him, I am not doing it out of obligation but out pure desire. I love sharing my life with the person who truly is my best friend; I can talk about anything with him and we have such a good time together. I love that we are a lot alike in so many ways so it makes it fun to do things together. But I also love how we are so different in some ways because we teach each other new things/ideas.
2) I love being an aunt! Yes, I definitely want kids of my own one of these days but there really is nothing like being an aunt. All 7 kiddos have something unique about them that I love...
Barrett: how we can sing & dance together to all kinds of music and I'm convinced he really does remember his trip to Chicago because he still talks about it 2 years later, which makes me very happy
Shaelyn: her playful spirit, the way she trys to include all the cousins when they are all together and her hugs
Elizabeth: her independence, the way she sings praise songs about Jesus and her beautiful eyes
Brooklyn: her curiousity & questions, her adorable facial expressions and cute pigtails
Jackson: he's got great hair and the way he is always on the go...that boy doesn't slow down for a minute
Peyton: his bald head, bright blue eyes and kisses
Hallie: such a good baby who I love to snuggle with
The only thing I don't love is not seeing them more.
3) I love our church family...the transition to Dallas was not easy but having a group of people in our lives who care for us, love us and listen to us has made a world of difference and I couldn't be more thankful. We've formed some great relationships with people and I know we've already found friends who will be our friends for life
4) I love sitting around the dinner table hours after everyone is finished eating; this is when the best conversation takes place...people are relaxed, satisfied and comfortable (and having a bottle of wine to enjoy helps too)
5) I love Saturdays...with my work schedule being quite crazy right now, I really love not having to get up for work on Saturdays. It's the one day a week I don't have a particular place to be, can sit around in my pajamas drinking as much coffee as I want and can spend time doing what I want to do--not doing what someone else says or thinks I should be doing. I wish there were more Saturdays throughout the week!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Anthony and I are spending the day together and taking it easy. I'm in charge of brunch and he's in charge of dinner, so I'll update after our fun day.

Kellee! What a great idea. I love that you wrote this and that you have so much love in your life. We love you, too. You're a great sister and a fabulous aunt. I'll read this to Elizabeth when she wakes up.
