Back in mid-February, my whole family went to Abilene for my Dad's ACU Alumni of the Year luncheon. It was great to all be together and honor my dad. The 4 Poe kids all spoke about my dad--I was a little nervous but glad to do it.

we had our 3rd annual PINK party at the end of February and it was great fun. pink desserts, pink drinks, etc. and lots of people even wore pink this year. it was a fun group of people and i always like when different groups of friends meet each other.

guess how many corks in the vase and the closest guess wins a bottle of wine!
of course, the chocolate fountain is a must along with other pink treats

we took a quick trip to Denver a few weeks ago and it was great fun. we flew in on saturday afternoon and as soon as we checked in to our hotel, we headed to a concert to see the group Further (2 original members of the Grateful Dead plus some others) and it was awesome! They played all GD songs and we sang and danced during the whole concert...love GD music!
we also went out to Red Rocks, which is an outdoor amphlitheater where concerts are played. it was a beautiful day and we enjoyed walking about and exploring.
it is HUGE and we ran up once and i have to admit that i was completely out of breath once i reached the top. there were tons of people working out and running the stairs all morning
and of course, we ate lots of great food!
a few weekends ago, i went down to Houston for a weekend with my in-laws and it was definitely a much needed girls weekend. we stayed at the Omni down by the Galleria and had fun eating, shopping, laying out, watching movies and just being together.
you could say we all had some luck at the Galleria :)
